Posing Beauty in African American Culture

On loan from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, this exhibit explores contemporary understandings of beauty by framing the notion of aesthetics, race, class, and gender within art, popular culture, and political contexts. This exhibit features approximately 84 works drawn from public and private collections.

Everhart Museum
A not-for-profit institution dedicated to the collection, care and display of a diverse array of artifacts, including natural history, science and fine arts. The museum also contains a library with books pertaining to areas of interest covered by the collection. The changing exhibit schedule features a range of visual artworks- historic and contemporary- as well as exhibitions on loan from other prominent institutions.
