  • Dyonisia ’12: Call for Proposals

    The Jason Miller Playwrights’ Project invites writers residing in Northeastern Pennsylvania to submit one-page proposals for a short play inspired by the theme "Apocalypse" they would like to see produced as part of the second annual JMPP Invitational in September. Proposal deadline is May 20 with full first drafts of approved projects due by July 15. Send email to nepaplaywrights@live.com for guidelines. 

  • Haunted! Mind Mysteries & the Beyond

    Psychic Theater presents the story of a historic murder/suicide that took place on-site through the multimedia framework of a seance with experiments in mind control, telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis, metal bending, and sightless vision. Starring paranormalists and mystery entertainers Dick Brooks and Dorothy Dietrich. Complimentary pizza, snacks and refreshments served at intermission. Show runs three hours. Advance reservations required.

    Exercise your stage skills while working on a custom monologue with playwright/director Alicia Grega. All experience levels welcome. Progress at your own pace. Ages 10 and older only. Email for appointment; no drop-ins.

    Doors open at 7 p.m. The Jason Miller Playwrights' Project presents a staged reading social featuring the new play by Tom Flannery about a Scranton musician facing a bewildering juxtaposition of success and failure in the heyday of grunge. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
